Mr. Kluesner, Headmaster Update:
• I would like remind our students of a couple of uniform policies. I believe our uniforms have many positive effects for the students
and our school. Listed below are two specific rules from our handbook we would like to see improved:
o “Girls may wear stud or small tasteful earrings. The only other forms of jewelry permitted are timepieces, or of a religious nature.”
o “Shirts must remain neatly tucked in at all times.”
• I would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Jenny Kalis for getting our 7th/8th class off to a great start. Mrs. Kalis plans to
continue to help our school in a variety of ways this school year. At the same time, I want to welcome Mrs. Amy Garro to our faculty.

Mrs. Barnes, Elementary School Coordinator Update:
• Thank you all for your continued efforts in arriving by 7:55 am every morning!
• This week finds us settling into routines with more confidence, great job by all.
• Remember to return your Communications Envelopes every Monday!
• Thank you to Mrs. Babbey and Mrs. Wilhelm for helping with PE day today.
• There is still room at Lumen Christi’s adult table for the Annual Celebrate Life Dinner September 28. Call Marie in the office to join
us. 632-3174
• If you are interest in participating in sacramental preparation at Holy Rosary Parish, please return your registrations sent home in
last weeks Communication Envelope or attached to the email version of this newsletter.
• Don’t forget to put the Parent-Faculty Wine and Cheese get together on your calendars. September 9, in Priori Hall in the basement
of Holy Rosary, at 7:00 pm. Bring a bottle of wine or a tray of cheese to share.
Mrs. Collins, High School Coordinator Update:
• This week felt more settled and the students are working hard.
• Freshmen are adjusting to new plan books and using study hall time wisely. Biology will be a challenge because of the volume of
content. The boys have been a positive addition to the high school building.
• Sophomores and Junior: Began Spanish II on Thursday with Mr. Marvin Gainer, a veteran Spanish teacher. Conversation will be
emphasized—encourage your child to practice his or her Spanish! The upper classmen finished reading Murder in the Cathedral by T. S.
Eliot. Two weeks into the school year, and they already have another great classic literary work under their belts!
• Cross Country meets are Tuesday September 14th and Monday September 27th.
• The Lumen Christi yearbook is delayed. We hope to deliver in late fall. Thanks for your patience!
